Giraffe Pop-Up Dinner

This month Simon Gault is joined by Award-Winning Chef Andrew May from Amayjen the Restaurant in Feilding.

Sharing Simons philosophy of showcasing the finest local producers and growers our country has to offer. Andrew feels at home in the kitchen but if he’s not creating dishes, you’ll often find him out foraging for ingredients, including a variety of wild fruits, herbs and flowers to add a personal touch to his dishes.

You can expect a meaty 6-course menu inspired by Andrews love of local game and produce with ingredients sourced and foraged from the Manawatu by Andrew himself with a dessert inspired by his Scottish Chef of the Year winning dish.

Wine pairings will be available on the night to compliment the menu.

Restaurant Month

$40 for a 2 course lunch
$65 for a 3+ course dinner

Dinner options include hummus flatbread to start, modern Caprese salad, Harissa lamb shank with wild onion buttermilk sauce, pickled raisins & roti, Simon's chocolate pudding to finish. Lunch options include Giraffe crudo trevally, sour plum, ginger, marinated mushroom, porcini mushroom risotto with smashed peas & Parmigiano-Reggiano
